I found out way after the fact about Brian's passing and it really saddened me. I got to hang out with Brian just a couple of times, all nighters, in high school and I had a great time. You were a special guy. I can't believe your gone. Rest in Peace B Casey

So sorry to hear about your loss to friends and family.... I went to HS with Brian. He was very outgoing and popular- to those who do not understand- be mad at the disease of addiction - cunning, baffling and powerful. My prayers to the Family and close Friends.

You will be very missed by your friends and family. May god keep you safe in his arms!!

You were like a little bro for a period of time when we were growing up running around in Belfonte and Philly. We were both struggling thru life but still managed to have fun everyday. I only wish I could have been with you that night... Then it wouldn't have happened.. But life moves on and I will always represent for us peace. Brian you and Banner hold it down till I get their , love you man

Brian's gentle spirit has finally found the peace he so desperately searched for in this life. I met Brian when we were both 12 years old and I was instantly charmed by his baby blues and mischievous smile. He was the "bad boy" that girls fought over. He made everyone laugh even though he carried heavy burdens. Brian...you were a special person to me and I will always hold onto the memories of you and your crazy friends. Rest in peace, old friend.

I am so sorry for your loss. Brian and I met during a time when were both struggling with our lives. But he always managed to put a smile on everyone's face he met with his extraordinary wit and selfless acts of kindness. You will be missed my friend!!!

Please accept our sincere condolences on the tragic loss of your "Beautiful Boy" Brian. My husband and I, along with many others have experienced your pain. After I lost my 30 year old son on 5-5-11 I started a Delaware Chapter of a national grief organization called. GRASP (Grief Recovery After a Substance Passing) in Jan 2013 I met another family who lost their 'Beautiful Boy" Tyler on 12-23-12. They started a non profit in Tyler's name called atTAcKaddiction. My family, The Keister family, The Shield's family (Kristen L Jackson 1/31/12) and the Humes family (Greg Humes 5/18/12) Have all been working together to change the course of this horrific disease. As a group we were able to get the Delaware Good Samaritan 911 Law passed last year. We are actively working on a naloxone bill. When you are ready, GRASP meetings are on the 1st Wed of each month, atTAcKaddiction meetings are the 2nd Tues of each month. I have included my name and I hope, in time, you can find the strength to contact us. Our four families, and many more, will grieve our losses forever, but we all feel a need to help others and to save more families from our pain. Our advocacy work is done in the names of our children and the hope that together we can eradicate the stigma and get this disease in the public discourse for better treatment and hope for those affected as well as their families. You are all in our thoughts, with love.
