Brent Chase Obituary

Brent Arnold Chase, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Brent Arnold Chase passed away peacefully on October 9, 2025, at 9:22 p.m., surrounded by his loving family at the hospital.
Brent was born on December 10, 1963, in Provo, Utah, to Ralph Chase and Karen Isa Farman. He was the fourth of six children in a close-knit family that valued hard work, faith, and service.
A devoted husband and father, Brent married Patricia (Patty) Langfitt on November 16, 1985, in the Salt Lake Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Together they built a home filled with love, laughter, and faith.
Brent was known for his strong work ethic, quick wit, and generous heart. He was a gifted mechanic and a trusted problem-solver who could fix almost anything. He worked as a Network Administrator for Murray School District and later as an Information Systems Administrator for the Central Utah Water Conservancy District, serving both organizations with dedication and professionalism.
Faith was central to Brent's life. He faithfully served in many callings within The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, including as an Assistant Stake Executive Secretary for Darold Henry and Duane Cutler, as well as in various ward and stake capacities.
Brent was a lifelong supporter of the Boy Scouts of America. His commitment to teaching, mentoring, and helping young men develop strong values was a defining part of his life. He served faithfully as a Scout leader for many years in the Utah National Parks Council, Timpanogos District, and was deeply involved in the district's Leadership Training Board. Brent attended and completed Wood Badge, the highest level of Scout leadership training, and was honored with the District Merit Award for his outstanding service and dedication to youth.
Brent loved the outdoors, especially snowmobiling, boating, and working on cars. He cherished every moment with his wife, children, and grandchildren - they were the greatest joys of his life.
He is survived by his wife, Patty Chase; his children: Brandon (and Marray), Candice (and Devin), and Brittany (and L. Reid); and seven grandchildren: Kaiden, Blake, Aprylia, Brighton, Brynlee, Dawson, and Leo. He is also survived by his siblings and many dear friends who will miss him deeply.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Karen Chase, and his brother, Carl.
Services are under the care and direction of Olpin Family Mortuary in Pleasant Grove, Utah. Condolences may be sent to the family at olpinmortuary.com.

I worked with Brent at the water district. He was so friendly and helpful and so pleasant to be around. I was so saddened to hear of his passing. Prayers for his family.

Although we are cousins, I did not know Brent very well. His father, Ralph and I are 1st cousins - our fathers, Ferron and Ernest, are brothers. So sorry for his passing. Please know that you are in our prayers.
Much love and aloha, Linda
