Brenda McKinnon Obituary

Brenda Brown McKinnon SUMTER, SC - Brenda Brown McKinnon, 65, widow of Alvin C. "Skeeter" McKinnon, died Thursday, December 3, 2009, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center. Born in Charleston County, she was a daughter of the late Eugene Woodrow Brown and the late Eloise Metts Brown. Mrs. McKinnon was a member of Sumter First Church of the Nazarene. She retired from Carolina Golden Products, formerly Campbell's Soup Company, after more than 38 years of service. Survivors include four children, William Pickney Anderson, Jr. (Lazette), Gregory Allen Anderson (Becky), Walter Eugene Anderson, and Kimberly Motley Jolly (Doc) all of Sumter; eight grandchildren, Allen Anderson, Jr., Danielle Welch, Savannah Motley, Walker Reese Motley, Bethany Anderson, Caitlynn Anderson, Jackson Jolly, and Mason Anderson; one great-grandchild, Allen Anderson, III.; and two sisters, Maureen Newman (Billy) and Sheryl Goins (Sam) both of Sumter. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, at Northside Memorial Baptist Church with the Revs. Jimmy Holley and Greg Pressley officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Eddie Newman, Woody Newman, Michael Whitaker, Joey Anderson, Clint Coker, Jeffery Newman, Ronnie Anderson, and Jon Wright. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral home and other times at her home.
