Dear Rene and family,
I am sad to hear about the loss of Brenda. I never really knew her but she was a wonderful lady just by what I am reading here from all her friends and loved ones. I just found out from Janice a few weeks ago that Brenda was sick. Then I found out friday she had passed. Rene, it's been years since I have seen you. I never knew you were married to Janice's sister until now.You seem to have a wonderful family and was blessed with a precious wife. May God wrap His arms around you and give you peace in knowing she is well now and happy.
Love you all,
Tora Watson Linton

Although I didn't know you as well as some, the brief moment that you were a part of our lives proved to be very blessed. You will always be a beacon of light to all of the hearts you touched. May the Lord bless your family and may they know how fortunate they were to have such a beautiful angel in their lives.

Two years ago I started delivering mail to the loftis home. One hot summer day; Ms. Brenda ran up to me with a cold Pepsi and a friendly smile. Every single time I saw Ms. Brenda; she always smiled this genuine smile that will forever be in my memory. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family.

I cherish all the memories of you that are locked safely in my heart always, as well as your lovely family. You are loved by all that were lucky enough to share their lives with you. You put a soft spot in all of our hearts forever. You were a lovely, open armed woman and were like a second mother to me. Brenda, you will always be near and dear, never too far to hear. I can not think of a time when you were not smiling. Remembering all the times we all went to pappy's have fun and line dancing (such a fond memory). You and your family took me in as one of your own when I first moved to Charleston. They got that from you, I know! I will not say goodbye, rather, I will say, see you soon enough my beloved friend ...and always think of you as I go.
I love you

When I think of Aunt Brenda I think of her laugh; it was infectious, contagious and once it started always had company. Life will not be the same without her in it but I know that she is just one more person who will be waiting for me on the other side. I am so blessed to have had her in my life and feel honored to call her my aunt. My condolences go out to our entire family especially Uncle Renee, Jessica, Amy, Eddie and their children. Brenda Gail Shealy Loftis was a gift from God and she will be missed greatly. Love you Aunt Brenda

Brenda was a one of a kind person. She deeply loved her family, brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, grandchildren and friends. There wasn't a place you could go in North Charleston or Goose Creek where she wasn't friends with someone, old and young alike, especially in the coffee houses.
She had an upbeat and bubbly personality, and a great sense of humor, she was a pistol. Everyone who had the opportunity to know her is blessed. She will be missed very much by many people, including me.
“I know that if they have a Waffle House in Heaven everybody there already knows her by name.”
Debra and I give our condolences and prayers to the entire Shealy/Loftis family.

Mom, I love you so much and I stll can't believe your gone. It's going to be so hard to go on with everyday life with out you because you so much a part of our everyday lives. I am going to miss talking to you three to four times a day just because you wanted to know how our day was going. You were such a loving and giving person. You would have given anything you had if someone was in need. I wish you were here to see the outpouring of support and love you are getting, although I know you are smiling down right now even as I type this. I love you more than words can describe and I look forward to seeing you again. I know there is rejoicing going on in heaven now. Shout to the Lord mom and sing with the angels!
