Brenda Gayle Christensen N. Charleston - Brenda Gayle Christensen, 75, of North Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Capt. Cyrus R. Christensen, USN (Ret.) entered into eternal rest Tuesday, October 16, 2018. Her Funeral Service will be held Friday, October 19, 2018 at the graveside in Riverview Memorial Park, 3715 Azalea Drive at 1:00 p.m. Friends are invited to attend a reception at Grace United Methodist Church immediately following the service. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR INC WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL. Brenda was born January 21, 1943 in Greenville, South Carolina, daughter of the late J.D. Ledford and Bessie Moore Ledford. She was a homemaker who loved crafts and sewing. She was a Military wife, and a member of the Naval Officers' Wives Club. She was also candy striper volunteering at the former Charleston Naval Hospital. She loved crafts and sewing. She is survived by her two daughters, Johnna Gilbert (Mark) of Charleston, SC; Kelly Scruggs (Tony) of Daniel Island, SC; two grandchildren, Caroline Scruggs, and John Colin Gilbert; two sisters, Margaret Leslie, Betty Jo Pomares, and brother, Steve Ledford. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother Danny Ledford. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Roper Hospice Cottage, 676 Wando Park Boulevard, Mt.
