Brandon Sharp Obituary

SPRING GROVE Brandon H. Sharp, 37, passed away suddenly on May 20, 2014. Brandon was born in York on November 28, 1976. He graduated from York Vo-Tech Class of 1996. He worked for Yorktown Paperboard, Worthington Steel, Strine Printing and most recently for Graham Packaging in York as a machinist. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed motorcycles, four wheeling and dirtbikes but cherished the time he spent with his children and his family. He is survived by his daughter, Lacey Sharp and her mother Denise Messersmith of York; his son, Timothy Sharp and stepson, Steven Dunham and their mother, Robin Rabenstine of York; his mother, Stephanie L. Sharp and companion Mark Altland of Spring Grove; his sister, Kristen Sharp of Seven Valleys; his niece, Kendra Sharp; and his maternal grandmother, Yvonne McCaffrey. He is also survived by his aunt, Pamela Goodling; his cousin, Gabriel Goodling; and many other aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Tim H. Sharp in 1990; his maternal grandfather, Earl Goodling; and his paternal grandparents, Harry and Marriam (Eckert) Sharp. A funeral service in celebration of his life will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Irwin-Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service Inc., 175 N. Main St., Spring Grove, with the Rev. Larry McConnell officiating. Interment will follow at St. Jacobs Union Cemetery in York New Salem. A viewing will be held on Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Brandon's memory may be made to "Stephanie Sharp, for the benefit of Timothy and Lacey Sharp", at Irwin-Beck Funeral Home, 175 N. Main St., Spring Grove, PA 17362. These funds will be placed into a trust fund for his children's future education. Condolences may be shared at www.irwinbeck.com
