CPT McGee: Our saddest condolences on the passing of Brandi. I was reading the paper online and today just learned of her passing. Barbie and I are thinking of you and the children; she was an angel if ever there was one from reading about her life accomplishments.

Brandi was a sister to the brothers of Golf, 1997. So many good times through the years that has now become our most cherished memories. No matter how homesick, annoyed with confinements, or recently dumped, you were always there for us with open arms, an open home, and a joyful smile. We love you and you are forever with us.

With heavy hearts, The Citadel, Golf Company, Class of 1997.

Brandi's passing has left a vacancy that can't be filled by anyone else. Ali and Drew, remember that although we do sorrow, we don't sorrow as those who have no hope. Our hope is in Jesus. Your mother still lives, she has just moved into the enternal dimension. Comfort one another with that truth and rest in God. Max Lucado said it so well when he said, "God is God. He knows what He is doing. When you can't trace His hand, trust His heart." I pray that you will have the courage and strength to trust God's heart. He loves you and will help you walk the days and weeks ahead.

What a beautiful service! The Lord's presence was among us and it was so moving to witness Him use Brandi and her life's work once again to bring the lost to Christ and to comfort and inspire loved ones and friends who grieve and already miss her. Our family will continue to lift each of you up in prayer for comfort, strength and the peace that passes all understanding.
Mark, Ali, Drew (and family) - you truly honored Brandi's legacy today and in doing so you honored our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She will be missed...but let us all live more by her example and "tweek" our days to
live more fervently and more enthusiastically for the Kingdom and the causes of Christ. Brandi was definately God's cheerleader and I saw it first hand during her years at First Baptist, and cheer projects in which we worked together. She loved on my children and made them feel special. Thank you McGee family for sharing your beloved wife and mother with so many. She loved you all so much!

Mrs. McGee, I am so glad that I got the opportunity to know you and your wonderful family. You were a great cheerleading coach and a wonderful second mom to all of us that you cared so deeply about. You were taken from this world too soon and I will never forget you.

Allie, I am so sorry. I know how close you were with your mom, and can only imagine how hard this is for you. It seems like just yesterday we were back on senior night crying and laughing with Lindsey, McEachern, Shannon, and your mom. She was loved by so many and will never be forgotten. I'm praying for you, Drew, your dad and the rest of your family. Let me know if there is anything I can do for you or the rest of your family.

Aunt Kay & Jay, Mark, Alexis & Andrew-

Please know that no matter how far, my love and prayers are with you all. Growing up, Brandi Shay was the closest thing I had to a real sister. We laughed, we cried, we fought, we conspired and we spent so many weekends up late with popcorn in a bowl between us...and sometimes even a racoon on our shoulder. Thank you, Aunt Kay, for bringing your precious gift into my life, so that she and I could have what you and Mom had. Her perfect smile, always with twinkling eyes and a mischievous giggle, will forever be fixed in my memory. My heart is with you all, as well as the many young hearts she touched daily. Blessings to you all.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Ms.Kay, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. My heart is saddened. You are such a dear person that gives from the heart. I did not know your daughter, but she had to be a kind gentle soul if she was anything like you. You have taken care of my babies for a while now and I have come to love you as a good friend. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. May God bless you and heal your heart. This will happen with time and faith in HIM. Thank your for letting me know of this and thinking enough of me to call.

Love you,
Martha (Katie and Nikkis mom)
