Boyd Pruitt Summerville - Entered into eternal rest on May 19, 2022, Boyd N. Pruitt, of Charleston, SC, Widow of the late Lewis W. Pruitt. The family will receive friends at her visitation on Sunday, May 22, 2022, at 1 o'clock to 2 o'clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home, 303 South Main St., Summerville. A funeral service will be at 2 o'clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Dorchester Memory Gardens. Mrs. Pruitt was born April 19, 1927 in Griffin, GA, the Daughter of Marvin E. and Carrie Biles Norton. She was a 1944 graduate of Spalding High School in Griffin, GA, and attended Southern Business University in Atlanta, GA. Boyd and Lewis were married in Thomaston, GA in 1945. The family later relocated to Charleston, SC, where they remained life-long residents. She was a retiree of the Charleston Naval Shipyard, where she worked as Secretary and an Accounting Technician. She was an avid yard worker, loved growing flowers, and loved to dance. She was a member of Palmetto Land Baptist Church in Summerville, SC. She is survived by two Sons, Gary L. Pruitt and Wife, Ellen of Mt. Pleasant, SC; Jimmy B. Pruitt and Wife, Elizabeth of Beijing, China; three Daughters, Jeanne Summers of Greenville; Connie Johnson and Husband, David of Charleston, SC; Wanda Brown and Husband, Louis of Charleston, SC; eight Grandchildren; and ten Great-Grandchildren.
