Bobby John Skelton, Sr. CHARLESTON - Entered into eternal rest on the morning of April 20, 2011, Bobby John Skelton, Sr., husband of Annette Edwards Skelton. Residence, Charleston, South Carolina. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Bobby J. Skelton, Sr. are invited to attend the funeral services of the former at the graveside at Carolina Memorial Park, Saturday, April 23, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL. Mr. Skelton was born in Valdosta, Georgia on March 17, 1937, a son of the late James Franklin and Irene McGuyrt Skelton. He retired from Insurance Sales and was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Annette E. Skelton of Charleston; his children, Melony S. West and husband Timothy of Savannah, GA, Lynn S. Wells and husband David of Montpelier, VT, Bobby J. Skelton, Jr. and wife Cherell of Charleston, Renee S. Hudell and husband Robert of Goose Creek; nine grandchildren, Ryanne, Holly, Rhett, Tiffany, Bobby John III, Cristen, Corey, Meredith, Carrie, Sarah; five great-grandchildren; and his sisters and brother, Margaret Lewis of Claxton, GA, Roger Skelton of Stark, FL, and Jacqueline Vincent of Savannah, GA. He was preceded in death by a sister Gloria Fay Patton. Memorials may be made in memory of Bobby Skelton, Sr. to the American Heart Association of SC, 409 King Street, Suite 300, Charleston, SC 29403.
