Bobby Gibbons Strange
Charleston - Bobby Gibbons Strange, 93, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest on Friday, December 26, 2025.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel, located at 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway, Charleston, SC 29414. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. before the service. A graveside service to follow at Turbeville First Baptist Church, 1020 Morris Street, Turbeville, SC 29162.
Born on November 4, 1932, in Turbeville, South Carolina, Bobby was the daughter of the late Rueben Blease Gibbons and the late Annie Rae Dennis Gibbons. She devoted 32 years of service to the Medical University of South Carolina, retiring as Director of Nursing for OB/GYN and Surgical Services. Her career reflected her deep commitment to care, leadership, and service.
Beyond her profession, Bobby found joy in learning and community. She was a Master Gardener, a past South Carolina delegate to Al-Anon, and an active member of her book club. She will be remembered for her intellect, compassion, and steady presence in the lives of those she loved.
She is survived by her daughter, Bobby Carolyn Strange; her son, Kenneth Matthew Strange (Colleen Margaret Geis); her daughter-in-law, Deborah Amaker Strange; her grandsons, Paul Weldon Strange (Ashley Ruth Strange) and Alwyn Berlin Strange; and her great-granddaughter, Taylor Katherine Strange, and great-grandson, Hudson Lane Strange.
In addition to her parents, Bobby was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank Dwight Strange, Jr.; her precious son, Frank Dwight Strange, III; and her angelic daughter, Anne Marie Strange.
Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to Charleston Horticultural Society, https://www.chashortsoc.org, in her honor.

So sorry to hear of Bobby´s passing. Knew her and Frank for many years through "The Fellowship". What a dear sweet lady. Sending my deepest sympathy and prayers. May God Bless.
