It's 2022, and this is the first time I've seen Aunt Bobbie's
obituary. I'm her niece, Charles White's daughter, her
brother. They say I really favor her. I do remember she
had a warm friendly smile. So long ago. I live in Lenoir,
NC now, not too far from all the families homeplace, in
Fort Mill, SC. What a special family, the White's. Julia (White) Magaha

Sue...here's the poem that my brother, Al, wrote for our mother's passing last year in honor of her relationship with your mother and all of our aunts.
"Sisters"
There was sand between their toes
As they skipped down that old dirt road
Laughing, singing, holding hands together
Just a hill or two to go
To their favorite swimming hole
Seemed like those childhood days would last forever
But, that summer soon was gone
And they would lie out in the lawn
Watching fireflies and stars dance through the night
They would talk of times to come
Share their hopes and dreams as one
Side by side until the morning light
...Sisters...
Married now, they could not stay
Some moved near, some far away
With new families of their own to love and cherish
But, they promised they would write
Call or visit day or night
That the love they held inside would never perish
Seasons came and seasons went
With dawn and sunsets time was spent
Both together and with families, so demanding
But they knew how much they cared
In those precious times they shared
Their bond of love beyond all understanding
...Loving Sisters...
In twilight years, their children grown
Now with families of their own
Grandchildren laughing, husbands passing, bodies aching
Finally time to share their love
But, God is calling from above
As each one leaves, the other hearts are breaking
But, God is whispering in each ear
"Do not be troubled, grieve, nor fear
Dry your tears and let your hearts be mending
For your love will never die
Like the stars up in the sky
The bond of love you share is never ending"
One day soon the time will come
That you'll all become as one
With joy unspeakable and full of glory
Your bodies will be new
Like wildflowers filled with dew
Washed clean of sin and sorrow
End of story!
And as you all walk hand in hand
With Jesus, in the promise land
On streets of gold with beauty beyond measure
You'll know nothing can compare
With the love that you now share
Next to Jesus, it will be your greatest treasure.
...Forever Sisters...

I have so many fun memories of Aunt Bob. Aunt Bob visiting us in Florida was always a marked event. I remember Aunt Bob and my grandmother Sara jo enjoying life to the fullest!
I wanted to share a fond memory of comforting words Aunt Bob wrote to my grandmother Sara Jo when my grandfather Benjamin passed years ago to comfort her.
As a beautiful rose will die and fade away...
So will these bodies made of clay...
Now her spirit is free. Aunt Bob will always live in my heart. Love and prayers to all.

hey granny,
i wanted so much to say i love you one more time, to look into your beautiful blue eyes, to have one more conversation, to share just one more moment, but that did'nt happen. this will have to do.
thank you.
thank you for bein my granny.
thank you for every smile you sent my way.
thank you for all the "i sure do love you" that you gave to me.
thank you for the gift of music that is so much a part of my soul.
thank you for playin "life is just a ball game" every time i asked you.
thank you for lovin me in the midst of my addiction.
thank you for not relocatin your key just under the bush, in the bottle, wrapped in tin-foil, that let me have a safe place to come down while you were away at work.
thank you for seein my glass turned upside down in your sink and callin me when you got home to see if i was ok.
thank you for findin me in my addiction, and only offerin your love and prayers instead of condemnation.
thank you for the honest answers to my questions about God and whether or not he was real after i got clean.
thank you for the fervent continous prayers that eventually led me back to God.
thank you for the joy you brought to my weddin and the laughter you shared with marie and me.
thank you for givin my children the blessin you prayed over them.
thank you for not just bein "granny", but one of my dearest and deepest friends of all time.
thank you for every drop of spiritual wisdom you have shared with me over the years.
thank you for your love, and prayers, and patience, and faithfulness, and tears, and hugs.
thank you for bein like Jesus.
thank you for bein the most perfect example of God's love that i have ever seen.
i can't wait to see you again. that will truely be a great day.

I will forever cherish the sweet memories of my dear Aunt Bob. She is truly a great woman of God, and a shining inspiration to me. I treasure our phone conversations, her visits to Florida , and to our church (The Sanctuary, Church of God). I look forward to reading her book "Eagle People". I know she is with our dear Lord Jesus and my mom, Sara Jo, and we will all be together again in Heaven.

I will always remember the excitement that I felt when I knew Aunt Bob was coming to visit. The fun times and the lessons learned from one absolutely amazing person. I feel very lucky have had such a wonderful person to call my Aunt and I will miss her greatly.
I may not have been able to say good bye, but I look forward to saying hello again one day.
The rest of the family and all of the friends will be kept in my prayers.

I remember as a little child, waiting impatiently in my Florida home for Aunt Bob and the cousins to arrive for a visit. She would always enter looking 'perfect'. Beautiful hair, beautiful smile, matching pocket book and shoes. Her love for her nieces and nephews was unconditional. Her love and commitment to my mother, her sister, was unbreakable. They were the best of friends and enjoyed a relationship that is being renewed now in heaven.
I will miss Aunt Bob. But part of her will always be with me. I pray that we can all live by her example and cling to the bonds of love that will one day reunite us with her.
And maybe we can put in a request that Jesus lets Aunt Bob make the Macaroni and Cheese for the Wedding Feast of the Lamb!
Love,

I remember going home on Sundays after church and having dinner with the Hallmans. Ms. Hallman was a great cook !! I spent a lot of my teenage years at the Hallman's home and what fun we had! Sue was like a sister and Ted and Tim were like brothers to me.I will always cherish my memories of Ms. Hallman and her wonderful family.

Granny has brought us together one last time.
Reading all of the comments from our family and friends is the closest I have been to a family re-union in such a long time.
The feelings shared by everyone who loved her is very heartwarming.
Granny always hosted the best family re-unions.
My love and prayers goes out to everyone.

AUNT BOBBIE'S LIFE WAS A LIVING TESTIMONY FOR THE LORD JESUS CHRIST WITH WHOM SHE IS NOW PRESENT! HER MEMORY LIVES ON IN THE HEARTS OF THE MANY WHO ACCEPTED THE LORD THROUGH HER MINISTRY. WE WERE ALWAYS BLESSED VISITING HER HOME ON OUR TRIPS TO SOUTH CAROLINA AND ENJOYING HER "SOUTHERN COOKING"
MY EARLIEST RECOLLECTION OF AUNT BOBBIE DATES BACK TO THE EARLY "FORTYS" DURING OUR SUMMER VACATIONS TO THE WHITE FAMILY HOMESTEAD IN FORT MILL,SC.
SHE ALWAYS WAS KIND, LOVING AND GENEROUS TO US ALL. AT THIS EARLY DATE, SHE WAS ALREADY PRAYING TO FOLLOW HER FATHER REV.JOHN R. WHITE, IN THE MINISTRY.

Mom, There is no way I can say all that you mean to me, So I will only say a little. I can never forget the love that you've shown me. This kind of love only comes from above as God's love is shed in our hearts. Your wisdom and insight on the issues of life have been a guiding light to me. Ive seen great leaders of men and armies but you have been led by the Lord, showing others what true leadership really is. Your servant's heart has saved my life, you have shown me the way to the Father by your love.
I'm so humbled by the support and love others continue to pour on us, as our family and loveones come together for this celebration of life in Christ Jesus.
To be absent form this body is to be present with the Lord. There is a lake in heaven where the tears of the saints are stored & I've made you a promise to walk with you hand in hand on that lake. There will be no more tears, no more sorrow...a new heaven & a new earth & forever we will be with the Lord. By His grace, Amen

My Mom
"Words can not express how much I love you!" This is what I often said when I sent her cards. Even though I would search for just the "right" card, it never seem to say exactly how I felt. Now, I find myself in that dilemma once again... How do you say good-bye to someone so wonderful who has impacted your life for over 46 years; to those beautiful blue eyes and that wonderful smile; to a very "Classy" lady; to the precious times you have shared together; to the special occasions and holidays so well spent; to all the good cooking and especially the infamous Macaroni & Cheese; to the singing and awesome piano playing; to someone with so much love for her children, grandchildren and spiritual children??? That is an impossible task but I feel I need to try. So mom, in your honor, let me say first: Thanks for being my Mom!!! You were my best friend, my Christian mentor, my spiritual leader, my supporter, my intercessor, my teacher, my advisor, my shoulder to cry on, my companion, my inspiration, my encourager, my example to live by, my comforter, my hero!!!! And even though I'll see you again in heaven, "words can not express" the emptiness and lonliness that I feel until we met again. I love you always!! May your legacy of knowing God and having a true personal relationship with Him, live on in all of our lives!! Your loving daughter (as you so often wrote), Sue

To The Hallman Family: As you go through this transition in your lives, rest assured that you can cast your cares upon the Lord because He cares for this family.
Know that your mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, etc is resting with the Lord. Psalm 116:15: Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.

Hello everyone,
Its been a long time since we have all been together on a Sunday afternoon dinner gathering at Aunt Bobs. Yet I can still smell the food
cooking in Aunt Bobs kitchen.
Aunt Bob not only could cook but could sooth away any pain inside when sad.
she knew how to make you laugh and forget your worries!
she always had a big heart and a open home. She was the best Aunt!
I could speak to her about anything and she would listen and be very supportive.
I learned alot about life do's and donts.
Aunt Bob was always a hard worker and Awsome Christian woman! She loved God and her family.
I loved Aunt Bob as my Granny! I often would slip and say Granny instead of Aunt Bob and she would reply, "You can call me Granny".
She always smelled good and had her hair fixed as if she was going in to a beauty pagent. I loved her flamming Red hair & her big heart! She will be sadly missed, yet she will hold strong thoughts in our minds and hearts!
Aunt Bobs memories will be a part of all our lives that will never be forgotten, but lived!
Love & miss everyone!

My memories of Granny go back for as far as I can remember. They take me to a little road called Soretrue Ave near the Ashley river.
To great family gatherings with the most incredible families in the world.
I can almost smell and taste the food all over the house. The turkeys, hams, and pot roasts that melted in your mouth. The various cakes and pies that were all gone by the end of the celebration.
Music from guitars and the piano still echoe in my mind. The singing, the laughter, and the voice of my granny leading us all in song.
Her voice, her love, the $5 in the bithday card, or the little candies she had in the little glass jar will always be in my mind. They are but a few of the wonderful ways she filled our lives with warmth and love.
I'm not a child anymore. My life has changed. I'm now retired from the army and living in Thailand. I help teach english in a little village close to Cambodia.
I took Granny's photo with me to my class the day she went to see Paa Paw and showed it to the children I teach.
They said she was bueatiful and loved her red hair.
They asked me if I cried and I said yes.
I didn't teach that day. We played and ate their favorite food and had fun.
Thats what Granny would have wanted.
I will miss my granny.

I remember Bobbie as a Christian Lady who was instant to respond to the needs of others. Her vigorous piano style and belt-it-out performance of Hymns impressed this young boy from John's Island. I knew she was a no-nonsense Believer with hard-core committments to the Church of God. She believed the Truth Speaks to those who listen.
