Blair Alan Knapp Jr
Arlington VA - Blair Alan Knapp Jr., age 63, of Arlington VA, passed away of pancreatic cancer at home on January 19 surrounded by loving family, after a happy day visiting with one of his closest friends. He is survived by his spouse and partner of 28 wonderful years, Gregory G. Greer; his siblings Elizabeth A. Olesen (Kevin) and Lawrence H. Knapp (Mary Hadley); and nieces, nephews, and a great niece and nephew.

I remember the blond, young man I met through another friend, Greg Wildes. He took me on many dates during our high school years. I can remember driving with him and his Dad when he had his permit to many of those dates. Talk about awkward! We all had a ton of fun at the Knapp House when Alan and his brother Larry would host parties at home. Blair Sr. and Charlotte were wonderful hosts as well. One of the funnier things that ever happened was going for dinner at the house for Alan's birthday. His Mom had purchased an ice cream cake from FarFar's ice cream, brought it home and left it on the counter. Let's just say the dinner was nice but the dessert was a total mess. The last time I saw Alan he was home to visit his family, we were in our early to mid 20's and we went out for lunch. I'm so sorry he has passed at such a young age. May his memory be a blessing.
