Billy Roberson Smith HOLLYWOOD, SC - Billy Roberson Smith, Sr., 77, of Hollywood, SC, devoted husband of Marilyn Hutto Smith and loving father of Robbi, Lorilyn and Angela Smith, entered into eternal rest Friday, July 25, 2014. His funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 29, 2014, in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Pkwy., at 11:00 am. The interment will be held in Memorial Park Cemetery, Orangeburg, SC at 3:00 pm. The family will receive friends Tuesday in Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel beginning at 10:00 am. Billy was born July 2, 1937 in Durham, North Carolina, one of four sons of the late John Smith and the late Mollie Foy Smith. He was the retired Director of Facilities and Projects Worldwide for Capsugel, a division of Pfizer, Inc. Billy was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church and was a Mason. He was also a veteran of the USAF. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Marilyn, of Hollywood, SC; two daughters: Lorilyn Smith (Jim Wong) of North Augusta, SC and Angela Smith of Hollywood, SC; a son, Robbi Smith of Simpsonville, SC; three brothers: Perry Smith and Phillip Smith, both of Orangeburg, SC and Foy Smith of Ft. Walton Beach, FL; a granddaughter, Tiffany Brown (Josh) of Simpsonville, SC; two great-grandchildren, Landon Brown and Jaxson Brown. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the American Heart Association of SC, 4217 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060 or The First Tee of Greater Charleston (Golf Club Donations for Disadvantaged Youth), 109 Wappoo Creek Drive, Ste. 3-C, Charleston, SC 29412.
