Bill Geery Obituary

Bill Geery FOLLY BEACH - The Bill Geery "My Way" tour came to an end on June 9. Ladies and gentlemen, Bill has left the building. William Ragland Geery lived a life full of great adventures and a fair number of misadventures, but he always did it his way. He might have had a few regrets, but then again, too few to mention. He leaves behind those who loved him wishing for at least one more show. His tour began in Kansas and included stops in Los Alamos, Panama, Germany, Carlisle, PA, Virginia (D.C.), Atlanta, and Manhattan. But his favorite places to play were Darien (Noroton Bay), CT and Folly Beach, SC. Lifelong ticketholders to his tour include his children, Mark Geery, Matthew Geery (Sarah), Susanne Geery Dahl (Dennis), and grandson, Quinn Dahl (aka The Prince). Also, his sister, Susan Marshall (Chester), and brother, Thomas (Julie). He was predeceased by his sister, Ann Molyneaux. His former wife, Sue, and his current wife, Patty, were lucky enough to have front row seats and backstage passes - just not at the same time. He loved the Yankees (especially #7), the Giants, Kansas State, Elvis, Roy Orbison, Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, big bands, playing bridge, poker, and solitaire, true crime shows, driving a little too fast, happy hours, a good pour, Italy, and his many, many, many friends. A celebration of his colorful life (date tbd) will be held at Loggerhead's Beach Grill on Folly Beach, where we will raise a glass of Chardonnay and toast a truly remarkable and wonderful man. In the meantime, he asked that you consider donating to Tunnel to Towers (t2t.org) in his memory.
