Beverly Lois Harrison Bueche

Beverly Bueche Obituary

Bueche, Beverly Lois Harrison A resident of Zachary, Beverly died at noon Tuesday, June 20, 2006, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, Baton Rouge. She was 85 and a native of Baton Rouge. Visiting at Charlet Funeral Home Inc., Zachary, was on Thursday, June 22, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a rosary service at 7 p.m. Visiting at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Zachary is on Friday from 8:30 a.m. until service at 10:30 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Tom Duhé. Burial in Roseland Memorial Park, Baton Rouge. Survivors include three daughters, Norma Ann Covington and fiancé Dr. Dex Harrison of Baton Rouge, Sharon Nason and husband Dave W. Nason of Gonzales, and Kim Bateman of Pride; three sons, James E. Bueche and wife Patsy Reeves Bueche of Baton Rouge, Brian D. Bueche and wife Robin Ward Bueche of Port Hudson, and Brent W. Bueche and wife Mimi Bahlinger Bueche of Prairieville; brother, Edward Harrison of Baton Rouge; 10 grandchildren, Ben Bueche, Tara Banker, Rhett Moore, David Bueche, Brandon Wilson, Stephanie Bueche, Mark Bueche, Daniel Bueche, Elizabeth Bueche and Natalie Bueche; and three great-grandchildren, Garrett Bueche and Grace and Wes Banker. She was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband of 53 years, Joseph E. "Biddie" Bueche; two brothers, Elmer Harrison Jr. and Claude Harrison; and parents, Elmer Sr. and Lillie Hernandez Harrison. Affectionately known as "Maw Maw" to her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she lived a beautiful and full life and was a selfless caregiver not just to her family but to all who knew her. Her many acts of kindness and charity were also extended to her church family, her neighbors and others who were in need. Of all the possessions she may have had, giving of her time and herself to others was among her greatest attributes. It was also commonly known among her family that she preferred most often to put her needs last instead of first. Her deep faith in God, lifelong commitment, loyalty and self-denying love was exemplified by the writings of the Apostle Paul in I Corinthians 13:1-13, "Though I speak with the tongues of man and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. And though I have all faith … and have not charity, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor … and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing. Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up; Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity never faileth … and now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity." Memorial donations may be made to The A.L.S. Association of Baton Rouge, P.O. Box 66825, Baton Rouge, LA 70896.

Brian Bueche Family-

I always thought alot of your mom.

She was a kind and thoughtful lady.

She made you feel important. One day after Mr. Bueche passed away we ran into her at Don's Seafood on Airline Hwy. She spoke of the good times, family and good food you all always shared there and on Sundays.

Remember the Oyster Dressing! I know you will all miss her. Our condolences. Cindi and Jerry Stewart

Your family will always be a part of my childhood. Norma Ann and I wreaked havoc on the neighborhood, and Norma's mother always kept us in check. I always admired your family and know that your mother will be sorely missed. God bless you!

When a family member or fiend dies, there is no denying the sense of loneliness and emptiness and the feeling of unfinished business-that we should have said or done more. Gaining a more complete understanding of death and life can help us face our own mortality. We find courage, comfort and hope by viewing life in a larger context. We realize that, just as our present existence is temporary, so is death. A time is coming when we will reunite with those who have died and renew our relationships.

Although adjusting to the loss and loneliness caused by death takes time, we need to remember that even this most extreme experience does not separate us or our loved ones from God's plan or His love: "For I am persuaded that neither death nor life,...nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord"(Romans 8:38-39).

May God who understands each need, who listens to every prayer, bless you and keep you in his tender loving care!
