Betty Sue Villeponteaux Tipp City, OH - Villeponteaux, Betty Sue, age 75, of Tipp City, Ohio passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2018. Born December 3, 1942 in Cairo, GA to Edwin Dwight and Verna Mae {Sellers} Shiver. She is preceded in death by both parents and her husband, George W. Villeponteaux in 2005, sister, Laura Dale Shiver-Yonan, and sister in-law, Peggy Shiver. She is survived by sister, Marian (Bill) Norris, and brother Leon Shiver and aunts, Nell Shiver Lee and Lucille Griner Shiver, nieces and nephews, Keena (Jenni) Yonan & Sargina Yonan, Jo Lynn Defee & Laura Jane Shiver, brother-in-law, Ken Yonan (Wendy) and 6 great nieces and nephews. Betty Sue graduated from James Island High School and Medical University School of Nursing in Charleston, SC. She began her career as a Registered Nurse at Roper Hospital in Charleston, SC and continued her career in Utah, Iowa and Ohio. She was a member of the James Island Baptist Church, enjoyed reading, especially reading her Bible and doing crafts. Graveside services 2:00 PM, Monday, January 29, 2018 at Riverview Memorial Park, Charleston, SC. Arrangements have been entrusted to J. Henry Stuhr Funeral Home, 232 Calhoun St., Charleston, SC 29401. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be mad to The American Cancer Society, 269 Calhoun St., Charleston, SC 29401, in memory of Betty Sue, for research of rare lung cancer.
