Betty was best friends with my mother, Flora Frances Owens - she lived down the street from us on Quail Drive on James Island. Her first husband, Freddy, was my very first insurance agent. Betty was beautiful.. she was kind.. she was smart and caring (smart people care). A funny story: my mother and Betty were huge fans of this guy named Johnny Charro (think 'Don Juan' who did Vegas lounges) - they would always go see him when he was in town in the 80's and 90's. One time my mother went without Betty and Johnny Charro came up to her between sets and asked 'Where is Betty tonight?' My mother was so disappointed that he inquired about Betty rather then talk to her.. hilarious. But that explains that Betty was an attractive and vivacious women that men adored. I adored her as well, though just a teen when I knew her. God bless you, Betty. I just know that you and Mom are having fun in Heaven. Kisses to you both :-)

Mrs. Craven and family, Words can never tell you just how sorry I was to read of the unexpected death of Betty. I have known her for years and always enjoyed being in her company. Betty was a beautiful person, inside and out and was loved by so many. Mrs. Craven, she loved you, her Mother so very much and was always foremost concerned with you, your health and well-being.What wonderful memories the two of you made together. It has been said that when we lose a loved one that we have gained a very special guardian angel in Heaven. Rest assured that Betty will be watching over all of you with the same loving care as she did here. I pray that God will wrap each of you with his cloak of love and comfort during this time of your deep sadness. Much love, and God Bless. Margaret Sams

Dear St. Lauren Family-
We are so sorry to hear of Ms. Betty's passing. We were with you in the ICU room the day your mother had surgery and chatted with you the day after. It is obvious that your mother was loved and a vital part of your family. May God comfort and keep you in His care during this time of grief.
Praying for Your Family-
