Betty Doris Montgomery CHARLESTON - Betty Doris Montgomery, 79, of Charleston, South Carolina, wife of the late Benjamin Hugh Montgomery, entered into eternal rest Friday, June 21, 2024. Her Funeral Service will be held Friday, June 28, 2024 in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway at 10:00 am. Burial will follow in Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel. Betty was born July 18, 1944 in Elizabeth City, North Carolina to the late James H. Bradley and Marjory McGraw Bradley. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved to fish and was an avid baseball fan. She volunteered at the ReTail Resale Store and worked and volunteered at the St. Andrews Parks and Playground, where she ran the concessions. She is survived by her son, Roddy P. Traxler of Charleston, SC; daughter, Sara "Jeanie" Motes; daughter, Margie Traxler; brother, Louis Bradley; grandchildren, Caroline and Turner Motes, Mery, Isabella and Camila Traxler, Heather Traxler, Amber Fox, Kayla Lolkus, Taylor Dutra, David Pylman, and Rikki Fox, and great-grandchildren, Madelynn and Makenzie Hewes; Amelia, Anthony, Ayden and Alina Duarte; Julian, Elizabeth and Leo Bautista; Everlee Tucker, Wesley Beams, Emma Wade, and Emery Dutra. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Teresa Traxler; and brothers, Ray, Donald, Alvin and Rickey Bradley.
