Betty Howard Luhn Summerville - Betty Howard Luhn, 95, of Summerville, South Carolina, widow of W. Parker Luhn entered into eternal rest Sunday, January 15, 2017. Her Funeral Service will be held Thursday, January 19, 2017 in The Second Presbyterian Church, 342 Meeting Street at 11:00 a.m. Interment, Churchyard. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC. DOWNTOWN CHAPEL. Betty was born January 5, 1922 in Kansas City, Missouri, daughter of the late Herbert E. Howard and the late Ruth Speck Howard. She graduated from the College of Charleston and was a member of Chi Omega Sorority. Betty was a retired bank teller with Citizens and Southern National Bank. She was an avid bridge player and loved fishing. Betty is now standing on a heavenly beach with Parker, holding a fishing rod, saying that everything is "fine and dandy." She is survived by her son, William P. Luhn, Jr. (Pam) of Charleston, SC; two daughters: Ruth L. Palassis (Jim) of Chapin, SC, and Elizabeth L. Postell of Ravenel, SC; five grandchildren: Shawn, Shannon (Scott), Jay (Kristal), Carrie, and Sarah; and six great-grandchildren: Elizabeth, Mary Frances, Grayson, Laney, Luke, and Rachel. She was preceded in death by brother, Herbert E.
