Dear Jack,
We were stunned to learn of Betty's death. Our mallwalker friends told us this morning. Betty has a special place in our hearts -- the gentle woman who walked slower than you, and gave us some wonderful recipes. We'll always think of her when we enjoy "Aunt Lillie's Dressing." We hope to see you soon.

I will think and pray for you, dear
Jack. All that knew Betty are better for that experience. You always came away from her feeling more blessed for your time with her.

I feel so fortunate to have known Betty. I want to share with you all again what a positive influence she has been to me. I am inspired by the faith and dignity that she has always shown. But mostly, by her unselfish sharing and love for all of us, especially you, her family. She is the epitome of what a daughter, sister, sister-in-law, mother and friend should be. I will be forever grateful for having known Betty.
My love and prayers are with you all,
Love,
Leslie Norton

Although I did not have the honor of meeting Mrs Kirby, her daughter Anne spoke of her often and with such love. In knowing Anne, I can only begin to imagine the amount of kindness, love and spirit that was the soul of Betty Kirby.

Dear Jack & Family,
What a beautiful and wonderful person your wife and Mother was. I loved her very much. I will miss seeing her smiling face walk through the salon door every Thursday @ 2:00. She was such an inspiration to me. I will miss her advice and wisdom terribly.
God Bless You All.
Love,

Her obituary says it best, "She was loved by everyone who knew her and was known for her friendly, giving spirit and her gentle and humble ways." Mrs. Kirby was a member of our family in our hearts. She was there to watch us grow up and there for us through tough times. She guided my mother through her illness, and on to her heavenly home. She was a spiritual guide for me and Lindsey during Lindsey's illness. She is the kind of person one aspires to be like. She touched my life and my spirit. When you met Mrs. Kirby, you felt as if you had been touched by an angel. She will be greatly missed.
