Betty Keen Charleston - Betty Curtis Keen, wife, mother, daughter and sister, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 in hospice care. She is predeceased by her parents, Oscar and Marguerite; her daughter, Laurie and sister, Sarah. Betty will always be remembered by her husband and best friend of more than twenty years, Avery Hardin and her children: Tammy (Jim), Theresa, Harry Jr.(Kristin) and Michael (Stephanie). Betty's grandchildren: Abby, Catherine, Christina, Joshua, Lauren, Matthew, Michael H., Michael I., Noah and Ziggy will never forget their fond times spent with her. Betty will be remembered by nieces, nephews and dear friends., and she will never be forgotten by her cat, Baby. Being a native of Charleston, she loved Folly Beach, shopping at Kerrison's Department Store and having her hair done by Carol. Please join Betty's family and friends for a celebration of life gathering at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, 347 Folly Road, Charleston, SC 29412, with a memorial service at 3:00 PM.
