Betty Dobbins Obituary

DOBBINS, Betty Betty J. Dobbins, 74, of Summerville, widow of Charles H. Dobbins, passed away at a local hospital. Born August 28, 1933 in North Charleston, she was the daughter of the late William Robert Hill and Jennie Marie Dantzler Hill. Mrs. Dobbins was a homemaker. She was of the Baptist faith; and was a great animal lover, especially dogs. Survivors include her daughter, Judy Ann Roirdan of Medesto, CA; two grandsons, Eddie Vires of North Carolina, Daniel Rogers of Medesto, CA; two great grandchildren, Xaden and Nick Rogers; and a very special friend, Larry Tenney of Summerville. Mrs. Dobbins was predeceased by her husband, Charles H. Dobbins and a brother, William R. Hill, Jr. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 28, 2008, 1:00 p.m., at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 7113 Rivers Ave., N. Charleston, SC; burial to follow in Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12 noon to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.
