Betty DeLoach Obituary

Betty Lucille Berrie DeLoach VARNVILLE, SC - Mrs. Betty Lucille Berrie DeLoach of Speed Limit Road near Varnville, died Tuesday evening at her residence. Mrs. DeLoach was born in Jacksonville, Florida October 29, 1924, a daughter of the late Daniel Ralph Berrie and Katie Louise Stewart Berrie. She was the head cashier and worked alongside her husband at Piggly Wiggly in Estill, and later with her son at Galaxy Grocery Store in Estill. She was a devoted Christian and a member of the Mill Creek Primitive Baptist Church near Estill. Mrs. DeLoach was the widow of Elder C. J. DeLoach. Surviving are: Sons: Timothy C. DeLoach of Clemson, and Paul D. DeLoach and wife Cathy of Estill; Daughters: Elaine D. DuBose and husband Frank of Columbia, and Ellen D. Long and husband Clayton of Estill; Grandchildren: Ryan C. DuBose, Monica C. DeLoach, Charlotte Albridge, Jordan Long, Paul Daniel DeLoach, Lisa Hudgens, and Matthew DeLoach. There are 6 great-grandchildren. Mrs. DeLoach was predeceased by a son, Mark A. DeLoach and a grandson, Ross DuBose. Funeral services will be 10 AM Saturday in the Mill Creek Primitive Baptist Church near Estill, conducted by Elder Robert Dobson and Elder Terrell Harvey, with burial in the Live Oak Cemetery near Varnville. Visitation will be Friday from 5 to 7 PM at the Chapel of Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home located at 300 Mulberry Street West in Hampton.
