Betty Davis Obituary

RIVER HEIGHTS - Betty "Boop" Davis, 77, passed away at her home on Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2010, after a valiant fight with cancer. She was born on Feb. 19, 1933, in College Ward at her grandparent's home.
She graduated from Logan High School in 1951. She attented one semester at BYU before being employed at First National Bank of Logan (which later became Zions Bank). She was a dedicated Zions employee for 40 years. She was well known, respected, and loved by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin A. Davis and Veda M. (Olsen); and by one brother, Merlin A. Davis.
She is survived by one sister, Kathleen (Dean) Parker; a nephew, Keith (Jill) Parker; a niece, Susan (Rick) Teeter; and 17 great- nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2010, in the River Heights 1st Ward Chapel, 800 S. 600 East, with Bishop David Rasmussen conducting. Friends may call on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 E. Center St. in Logan; and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to services at the church on Tuesday. Interment will be in the Logan City Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.allenmortuaries.net

I worked with Betty at the old First National Bank from 1956 to 1960. It was always a pleasure to be around her. She was always kind and considerate to me as a fellow employee and the customers as they came in to the bank. She was a good person and it was a privilege to have known her. I'm sure she will be missed!
