Betty Crosby Obituary

Betty R. Crosby St. George, SC - Betty R. Crosby, 90, widow of Robert Leon Crosby, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, October 16, 2021. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday at Memorial Baptist Church with Pastor Craig Crosby officiating. Burial will follow in the St. George Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be an hour before the service. Pallbearers will be Chris Crosby, Troy Crosby, Chad Crosby, Zac Crosby, Donnie Crowe, David Crowe and Daniel Crowe. Mrs. Crosby was born on March 2, 1931 in Spartanburg, a daughter of the late George Edward and Susan Pauline High Roper. She was a cashier at Fairey's Drug store, which later became St. George Pharmacy, for over 40 years. She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church and was blessed with a loving family. She enjoyed her grandchildren and later her great-grandchildren were special treasures. She was predeceased by sons, David C. Crosby and Rev. Stephen M. Crosby; and siblings, Fred Roper, Buford Roper, Paul Roper, George Roper, Ruth Roper and Jennie Roper. Surviving is her daughter, Ellen (Don) Crowe, St. George; a son, Tim (Karen) Crosby, Charleston; daughters-in-law, Brenda Crosby and Helen Crosby; 10 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren;sisters, Shirley (Elliott) Huggins and Myra (Joe) Genobles.
