Betty Bivens Obituary

Betty Bivens CHARLESTON - Betty C. Bivens, 69, of Charleston, SC, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Monday, October 16, 2023. Born on October 21, 1953 in Pittsburgh, PA, she was the daughter of the late Martha Failes Cabot and Arthur Cabot. Betty began her career at M.U.S.C. in 1971, where she worked in different capacities for over 40 years. In her retirement, she enjoyed traveling, bowling, playing pickleball, working a part-time job at Kiawah Island, working and volunteering with Neighbors Together, and volunteering with Water Missions International. She also enjoyed giving her time to helping others, and made it a point to spend quality time with the people she loved! Betty is survived by her daughter, Shannon Gregg (Matthew); grandchildren, Colson and Hannah; and her siblings: Susan Cabot, Art Cabot and Ted Cabot. A celebration of life will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at Calvary Lutheran Church, 1400 Manor Boulevard, Charleston, SC 29407.
