I was both honored and privileged to associate with Bette Levine both during her time as USC Salkehatchie and afterword. Unquestionably her willingness to council any and all students in need,was a real plus for the campus. Dr. Levine CARED. She cared about her students and she cared about the high quality of teaching to which she exposed them.

I had the privilege and pleasure of being a friend and colleague of Dr. Levine on the faculty of the USC Salkehatchie Campuses in Allendale and Walterboro for a number of years. My thoughts are with her family at this sorrowful time.

I am so sorry for your loss she was a great professor and friend to me. As a forty year old first time student she was my life line and we enjoyed many conversations in her office and at her house. She will truly be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you and if there is any thing I can do for you let me know. I'm in the phone book.
