Bertie Pace Obituary

Bertie Lee Pace CHARLESTON - Bertie Lee Pace, age 92, of Charleston, SC, died Monday, August 31, 2009, at a local hospital. She was born in Barnwell County, SC, on August 12, 1917, to the late Harry DeHay and Ida Johnston DeHay. She was retired as a secretary from the Commissioner of Public Works after more than 20 years service. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Mrs. Pace is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her three brothers, Harold, Henry, and R.C. DeHay. Funeral will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 2, 2009, at Carolina Memorial Mausoleum Chapel, 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston SC 29406. The interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park.
