Bernard Simmons Obituary

Bernard Everette Simmons HAMPTON, SC - Mr. Bernard Everette Simmons, of Country Club Road in Hampton, died early Thursday morning in Roper Hospital in Charleston. Mr. Simmons was born in Jasper County, October 5, 1936 a son of the late Fornam and Nora Lee Tindal Simmons. He had retired as a Maintenance Supervisor with the Westinghouse Corp in Hampton, and also operated Simmons Millwright and Construction Company in Hampton. He was a member of Pine Level Baptist Church near Grays. Surviving are: Wife: Judy Herndon Simmons of Hampton; Son: Michael E. Simmons of Hampton; Daughter: Sherry Ann Mixson of Grays; Brothers: Ervin and Jimmy Simmons of Grays; Sister: Linda Hankins of Grays; Grandchildren: Brian and Jennifer Mixson, Rebecca Blocker, and Michael and Christopher Simmons; and Great Grandchildren: Hunter, Liam, and Lucas Blocker. Funeral services will be 2 PM Saturday in the Chapel of Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home, conducted by Elder Robert Dobson, with burial in the Johnson-St. Paul Cemetery in Hampton.
