It's been over a year and our hearts still ache as we miss your presence in our lives. We love and miss you and the boys but we are content with the knowledge that you are resting in heaven with our Father. The life you lived most definitely did speak for you baby girl. I miss our times of laughing in person and over the phone. No one laughs with me like you. I miss that. I cherish all the times from when you were little to adult hood. I was honored everytime you would call me to ask a question mother to mother. Thank you for making me feel like the favorite aunt. I love you girl. From one giggler to another, Tish.

To Jenea and Family

I went online today to see if I could find Berna Judge. I wanted to let her know that I had a little girl and I named her Berna. I am blown away by what I have read. I am deeply saddend by the loss of a wonderful person, sister, and friend. I met Berna and Jenea at Morris College. She was someone I looked up to. I am in so much shock right now. Tears have not stopped flowing since the article popped up with the horrific news. To her family you have my deepest sympathy. I hate that I didn't know sooner. Just remember that God knows best.

The Lord giveth and he taketh away. To the family may God continue to gave you all strength. I got the pleasure of knowing Berna and Jeana at Morris College after they pledge. Berna was a sweet person inside and out. Whenever I saw her she always had a smile on her face. Know now that Berna and the boys are all in a better place now with our Lord.

Words can't begin to express the sorrow and shock I felt when I received the news. I grew up with Berna, attending Sacred Heart Elementary with her and Jenna, and kept in contact with her through the years. My heart goes out to the entire network of family, friends and loved ones involved. To my Lodge Brother, P.M. Judge, know that the Lord is with you.

Dearest Janae,

I was very close friends with both your and sister and you. After graduation we lost touch and I regret it now more than ever. I know how close the two of you were and I always admired the bond you share. This is an unimaginable tragedy that should never have happened. I hope that your sister and your nephews will find peace and I wish the same for you.

I hope that we can speak soon.

Sincerely,

I was saddened when I heard of the horrible news. I knew both of the Judge twins and there are no words that can begin to console. Just know that there are those of us who have always remembered, and will never forget. Judge Family, I am deeply sorry for your loss. Berna's warmth and joy will be missed. Jeana, Mr. & Mrs. Judge..., God will take care of all those in the end. Live each day like its the last.

To the Judge family: As years have passed since I have seen Berna, I viewed a photo of her enclosed in this guest book. As I saw her picture, tears immediately developed in my eyes, my heart was burdened and chills ran throughout my body. The first thing I remembered was her smile and sweet sweet personality. We were team members on Burke's basketball team and I remember all of our great conversations. I know that God has retired her for a purpose. She and her kids are in GREAT hands. My deepest sympathy goes out to the entire family.

BE BLESSED,

To the Judge Family:

It hurts as I sit down to write this passage but it also gives some comfort to know that God has taken three of his angels home. I met Berna' and Jenae as they were coming into Morris College and I was on my way out. We also discovered that their home is two blocks over from my G-mom's home. I still can remember that smile that was a gift from God that would light up any dark room. To the parents of Berna, please remember that earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal!!!

I met Berna when I was a Freshman at Morris College. I admired so many things about her. She was a beautiful person that always smiled and treated each person as someone important. I pledged Delta Sigma Theta in 1997 and was able to get to know her much more. In 1998 she spoke to me and told me that I would make a great Miss Morris College. She really believed in me and gave me lots of encouragement. That's what made her a beautiful person, always encouraging people, believing that they could be sucessful. I am going to miss her so much, but knowing that she is with God

makes me feel at peace. May God forever bless the family in this time. Love, Saranarda

To the family of Berna Judge Ellington:

I would like to say, “May GOD keep you.” This is a very sorrowful time that you all are dealing with. I pray that GOD strengthens each and every one of you where you need to be strengthened. I met Berna at Morris College, and it hurt me to hear this troublesome news. When I closed my eyes to think back on Berna I started to smile, because the first thing I saw was her beautiful smile, and the true person she was. She will be missed as well as her babies. They all have no more worries to worry about. “Jena”, Keep your head up, be strong, and remember in the WORD OF GOD there is strength, joy, comfort and peace. Remember that GOD is there for you to lean on. Most of all he is there for you to talk to. If you feel that you can’t talk with anyone else, GOD is the best one to open up to. Don’t hold your pain inside, give it all to GOD, and he will carry your pain. I know you were really close to Berna, and I will keep you and your family high and lifted up in prayer.

Now, my prayer is that God will grant you the peace that surpasses all understanding.
