ELDER DANIEL HENDERSON

May 22, 2006

To Deacon Gadsden & Family,

Please know that Sister Gadsden is in a much better place right now. Jesus said (John 14:1-3)

1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

God always keeps His promise but He also said that He will not leave you comfortless. God is only a prayer away. On behalf of The Henderson Family you have our heart felt sympathy. We love you and we're praying

Sincerely

Elder Daniel Henderson

“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”

May God continue to comfort and lead you through this difficult time your life. It is never easy to lose a love one under any circumstance, but remember to be absent from the body is to be present with the LORD. The Gadsden Family;

There is nothing I can do to make her come back, There are no words I can say that can replace the words you long to hear. There are no answer's I can give that will satisfy your questions. There is not another soul I can introduce you to that will ever replace her, and there is no love I can offer that will ever replace the love you shared.

I can not promise your broken heart will ever be complete. I will not say it could have been worse. I will not deny it was a tragedy. I will not lie and tell she will come back. She never really left............She is like the wind. You can not see her...but you will always feel her.

Just a few words to try to comfort you in your time of loss. Please know that God only took one of his own. Our prayers are with you.

To my father, Mr. Obie Heatley, my aunts, Janice and Roberta, Marlo, Twania and David, we were blessed to have had such a Godfearing, strong, classy woman in our midst. We should feel blessed, honored and privildeged. We should feel honored that she loved her family, trusted in the Lord and believed until the end that God was in control.

Hang our heads- we have no reason to because she fought a good fight. God wants us all to realize when it is time to surrender. She surrendered the pain in return for an everlasting life in the bosom of our Lord and Savior.

Whenever she was present, her grace and eloquence overwhelmed everyone, for His Grace illuminated her grace and oh how bright it shined!

Berl has loved her family unconditionally and we must love her enough to let her go and rest for her race was long and she endured until the end. This is a time for us to rejoice for her life was fruitful. And the fruits that she bore continues to thrive in her children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters.

The Starlettes, continue to sing because that is what she would have wanted.

The Grace of God and family unity is what it takes to ensure that the family circle is not broken for in Spirit, she remains.

May 11, 2006

To The Gadsden Family:

My sincerest condolences to my Friends In Christ. All I can say is Sis. Berlene was a soldier til the end. The last time I saw Sis. Berlene was at The Echoes of Harmony's Anniversary.

She was there with her head up high enjoying herself through song. I feel like family to You All. I was there when Mignon and Marlo got married (helped plan the wedding). I would always see Sis. Berlene as beautiful and fashionable as ever. She would always step in where needed. If someone needed a backup singer or whatever she would step in.

Sis. Berlene has indeed earned her mansion and I know the LORD can use another good soprano in the Heavenly Choir.

To Deacon Gadsden: Stay strong. I don't know of a man that was there for his wife and stood up for her in everyway like you have. You deserve so much respect.

To Brother Marlo & Twianita: Love You two as well. Know that the LORD will comfort You All. Suffering is no longer. My GOD will wipe away all of your tears.

To My Sisters In Christ (Sis. Jan, Sis. Roberta & Sis. Cynthia): I know you all will miss your sister, but, will gain a guardian angel. I was used to seeing The Starlettes with Sis. Berlene. Continue to make her proud and sing like never before.

When I have gone my last mile and can't go no more. LORD, let the words of my mouth, meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight.

Yours In Christ,

Brother Dwayne L. Elliott &
