But If you listen quietly,
He'll tell us,
"Take a moment and rember what I said:
If you fail to see me walking right beside you,
It's because I have you in my arms instead----
For together, we will cross the highest mountain,
Together we will face the stormy sea,
You never are alone, you're never helpless!
I'll carry you---
Let go and lean on me."
He is with you....
even in
your time of sorrow

I placed a poem on here first now I would like to take the time to share some precious and wonderful memories that I personally have had with the Shaw family. Mr. Shaw was a wonderful man and storyteller. I could sit for hours and just let him tell me stories of his upbringing, the war and all sorts of stuff that most people in our generation take for granted. Mother Shaw would always cook a big meal and adopt all of us to sit and fellowship. The last time I visited with the Shaws Mr. Shaw told me another one of his stories and was still animated in his personality with that wonderful smile. My prayers are there strongly for all of you especially Mother Shaw. Marty, Cheryl and Michelle I love you all and I pray that you all remain strong and bind together as the family with the legacy that your Father left you with. Make him proud while he watches from heaven in admiration.
Love,
Erika, Alma Porter, Jacquetta Jones and Family.

Be Still
Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.
Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.
If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.

Thank you, Father, for sending the Holy Spirit to comfort, counsel, help, intercede, defend, strengthen, and stand by the Shaw family in this time of grief and sorrow. In Jesus’ name, amen.
