Bennie Brown Obituary

BROWN, Bennie Entered into eternal rest on the morning of April 13, 2005, Petty Officer 2nd Class Bennie Joe Brown, USN (Retired), widower of Kate Dixon Brown. Residence, Moncks Corner, South Carolina. The relatives and friends are invited to attend his Memorial Services in St. James United Methodist Church, Goose Creek, SC, Friday morning, April 15, 2005 at ten o'clock. Burial will be private. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC., GREENRIDGE ROAD CHAPEL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, 5900 Core Road, Suite 504, North Charleston, SC 29406. Mr. Brown was born September 19, 1934 in Beckley, West Virginia, the son of Howard and Virgie Elmore Brown. Mr. Brown was a member of St. James United Methodist Church. He was a retired United States Navy Veteran with 22 years of service to his country; a former security officer at K-Mart, Rivers Avenue and was a bailiff with the Charleston County Courthouse Clerk of Court. Surviving are his sister, Hattie B. Danley and husband Sonny of Levittown, PA; two nieces, Cheryl Danley and Karen Dakin both of Pennsylvania; three stepsons; five step-grandchildren and four step-great grandchildren.
