Ben not only retired from the Navy after 20 years, but he was an Aid to the Admiral. And all of us Navy men know that an Admiral could not do his job without a great Aid. We will miss him at the next Hamul reunion and we will always remember his reference to George Washington who 'could not tell a lie', but Ben was more honorable because he 'could tell a lie, but chose not to'. One of our favorite Ben stories.
We will share so many stories about Ben and will try to share all his great stories.
