To the family and loved ones of Ben. I had Ben in my biology class. What a card!! He played with his skateboard and was very sweet and protective of his friends. He wasn't much for studying but was quite adept at understanding the world around him. I enjoyed knowing that such a peaceful unique spirit existed in a high school environment. He has been living on in spirit even still. His amazing debut on the school TV made all his classmates instant fans. I was one as well. He meant no harm to others and that was apparent. The students feel a great loss and are trying to understand it. JUST know that Ben was and is loved. I know this time is extremely difficult but please try and find comfort in the fact that Ben was a joy and a gift. AND that he will always be with us. He had such a tranquil nature with others and he has got to be having a ball skateboarding on the clouds. My thoughts and prayers are with you!!

My thoughts and prayers are with you. I went to school with Ben and we were in the same class together. He was a very sweet but shy boy. I'm so sorry for your loss. But I have a poem for both nick and ben, here it is:

"Untitled"

God looked around his garden

And found an empty place.

He then looked down upon this earth

And saw'll your tired face.

He put His arms around you

And lifted you to rest

God's garden must be beautiful

He always takes the best.

He knew that you were in pain.

He knew that you would never

Get well on earth again.

He saw the road was gettin rough,

And the hills were hard to climb.

So He closed your weary eyelids,

And whispered, "Peace be thine."

It broke our hearts to lose you,

But you didn't go alone.

For part of us went with you

The day God called you home.

Ben one of my son Eric's best friends. He spent time at our house and even went on a trip with us to North Carolina. I know that he will be missed by Eric and all of his friends. He may have been small in stature, but he was large in heart.

I'm sorry for your loss. Ben was in my third period global studies class. I didn't know Ben very well, but I did talk to him a few times here and there. Also, when he rode my bus we would talk. He seemed like a very nice, funny, and outgoing guy. I wish I got to know Ben better. Everyone will miss him and our prayers go out to your family.

Dear Glenna,

I am so very sorry for your loss. Words can not express the pain you must feel right now. Please know that I am here for you. Anything you need, just let me know. You and Ben were so nice to me when I had the flu. I know this is so much more than just the flu, but I would like to be there for you if you need a friend. I am so very truely sorry for your loss. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers.

Hugs,

Jenna, Carolyn, Natalie, Alex and Erik
