Benjamin Thomas Michael HOLLYWOOD, SC - Benjamin (Benny) Thomas Michael, 75, of Hollywood, SC, entered into eternal rest on January 11, 2022. Benny was born in Ridgeland, SC, on April 5, 1946, to Margaret Graves Michael and Oliver "OC" Calhoun Michael. Benny grew up in Beaufort and graduated from Clemson University as a History major. While at Clemson Benny played football from 1966-1968 as a fullback. After graduating he went to work for Shell Oil then proceeded to open his own Exxon Station. He ran the Exxon until he retired. Benny's passion was spending time in a saddle deer and bird hunting at Wiggins Hunt Club with his friends. When he wasn't hunting he was spending time with his granddaughters, who were his entire world. Benny is survived by his son, Robert M. Suggs, Jr.; his daughter-in-law, Ashly H. Suggs; and his granddaughters, Alyssa Marie Suggs and Kayla Ann Suggs, all of Hollywood, SC. He was predeceased by both of his parents and his wife, Jean Michael.
