Beatrice DeLoach Obituary

Beatrice DeLoach HAMPTON - Mrs. Beatrice Crosby DeLoach, 86, of 108 Plywood Street, Hampton, SC, left this world for Heaven on Wednesday, January 25, 2012. She was born October 1, 1925 in Grays, SC, Jasper County, to the late Miles Barney Crosby and the late Annie Florence Shipes Crosby. She graduated from Grays High School in 1943. Mrs. DeLoach was married to her one true love, the late Charles Aiken DeLoach, Sr. on January 15, 1944. She was a compassionate and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Mrs. DeLoach, her late husband, and her son, Charles Aiken DeLoach, Jr., owned and operated DeLoach Service Station/DeLoach Auto Sales from 1954 to the present. She was the owner-operator, bookkeeper, and cashier for this business for almost 58 years where she was full time employed until God called her home. She also enjoyed flowers, gardening, pets (especially her cat, Tom), music, embroidery, reading and word puzzles. Mrs. DeLoach became a Christian at an early age at Pine Level Baptist Church, Grays, SC. She openly shared her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ with her customers, employees, family and friends. She was known for being a good listener, a great cook, a mother to many extended family and community members, and the epitome of the virtuous woman described in Proverbs 31. Mrs. DeLoach was a charter member of West End Baptist Church, Hampton, SC, where she served in many capacities. She was presently an active member of the church's benevolent food committee, and the Ladies Sunday School Class. She also served many years as a Sunday School and Worship Service Nursery worker. Mrs. DeLoach leaves to cherish her memory: four children, Roma (Johnny) Muller, Gilbert, SC, Charles DeLoach, Hampton, SC, Alice (Sandy) Sales, Aiken, SC, Krissie (Broadus) Taylor, Leesville, SC; eight grandchildren, Jessica (Chuck) DeLoach, Carla (Troy) Wheeler, Amanda (Gabe) Brown, Joni (Tim) Rabon, John (Ashley) Muller, Shelby (Stephen) Gaskill, Andrew Seigler and Jacob Seigler; six great grandchildren, Connor, Caroline and Parker Brown, Lexi and Emily DeLoach, and Noah Gaskill; one brother, Marvin Crosby; seven sisters, Lillie Maude Terry, Ella Mae Smith, Mildred Shipes, Sally Smith, Agnes Peeples, Ellen Wilson and Lydia Breland. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Aiken DeLoach, Sr.; her oldest grandson, Charles "Chuck" Aiken DeLoach, III; sisters, Lorraine Eckley, Marguerite Smith, Linda Crosby; brothers, Lloyd Crosby and Bernard Crosby; and her beloved sisters-in-law, Lillian DeLoach, Roma Terry, Vera DeLoach, Annie DeLoach, Aileen DeLoach and Jenny Crosby. The family requests that memorials be made to: West End Baptist Church, 1049 Elm Street West, Hampton, SC, 29924. A celebration of life service will be held at 2 pm, Saturday, January 28, 2012 at West End Baptist Church, 1049 Elm Street West, Hampton, SC.
