I all way Love her
Linda Forslund
September 12, 2008
I am a volunteer Ombudsman, for the Trident Area Agency on Aging. Ms. Dot Morgan, who signed this guest book before me, said it all in a nutshell. Ms. Bennett was such an inspiration--her faith was incredibly strong, in God, in her family, in her friends. As a volunteer Ombudsman, my job is to be a friendly visitor, and if needed, an advocate for any issues they may have. When I visited Ms. Bennett, she would tell me about how wonderful those at Mt. Pleasant Manor were to her, how they recently held a singing performance for her in the dining hall, how all treated her so well. She truly was a woman of grace and of God. I never did get to meet her daughter, Jan, of whom she spoke so highly and appreciatively. I was unable to attend the service and hope one day to meet Jan. I will really miss seeing Mrs. Bea Bennett on my "rounds" of my friendly visits with the residents of Mt. Pleasant Manor.

Ms. Bea was an inspiration to all who crossed her path. She never gave in or gave up. She always took things in stride and lived life to the fullest. She showed her concern and love for her caretakers as she herself was suffering through the ravages of her own disease. She had a positive and cheerful outlook, trusted completely in God, knowing that he held her always in the palm of his hand. She touched many lives at Mount Pleasant Manor, in the time that she spent with us before moving to the Hospice Center, becoming a part of our "family". Her spirit and love will be a part of the lives and memories of many, for years to come. She chose to live her life as a loving Christian woman-sharing God's teachings through her acts and deeds. It was said by a staff member that Ms. Bea always had a halo of light around her...this was not by chance. She was truly blessed and we were all blessed to have been a part of her journey here on earth. Our deepest condolences to Jan and the rest of her family in the loss of such a beautiful, loving, caring woman. May your memories continue to bring you comfort.
