Catherine, I am so, so sorry for your loss. I hope you know that Barry was my very first friend at Seneca after I transferred there from Orlando in 1967. He made me feel very welcomed. It is very hard for me to believe this happened. Please know that I am thinking of you and your family at this time. You may write to me if you'd like; I'd love to hear from you.
With "ZO" and Seneca love,

Ms. Amyx, unfortunately I was out of state and unable to attend the memorial service in Alabama. I am shocked and saddened by the loss of Dr. Amyx and wish to give you my deepest sympathies. I was very fond of Dr. Amyx and want you to know that he will be greatly missed by myself as well as our staff at AltaPointe.

The untimely death of Barry came as quite a shock to me. Barry and I were close friends since junior high and I have so many fond memories of adventures that Barry and myself had in high school, college and later in life. I am quite sure that Barry will be missed by all living members of Danzig Social Club.

Dear Catherine,
My heart aches for you as you attempt to make some sense of Barry's death and deal with the emptiness you feel without your best friend by your side. I was blessed to have him as a brother in law and loved him for the the man that he was and the love I know he had for you. I enjoyed the times we were with Barry and you, especially when we went to Jason's law school graduation snorkeling in that beautiful bay and hiking up to the top of Diamondhead. I know Barry was and will always be the love of your life. He will be missed by you and his many friends and family for his humanity and generosity.
Love, Cordell

Barry was one of the best friends I ever had, in addition to his being one of the most empathetic and intelligent persons I have ever met as well. His time came much too early. Farewell, my friend.

Uncle Barry,
I know that you are in a better place surrounded by love, family, and friends but I wish that we had more time. I will look after mom and Aunt Cathrine and try my best to make you proud. Although I do not carry your family name I do carry your blood and therefore your line does not die with you. I love you Uncle Barry very much! May you rest in peace!

Love always,
Ross Brendan Olges
