I worked with the Senior Chief at USCG SUPCEN BROOKLYN. I remember on our breaks that we would head to the rec room to shoot pool, play ping pong, or play foos ball! We actually became friends while playing these games and shooting the breeze! I also learned alot from him regarding being a Chief! He will be missed! I just read about his passing from the CG magazine so that's the reason for the late message. My sincere condolences to his family and friends. Paul J. Schlosser Jr. (USCG RETIRED CHIEF - ETC)

I am saddened to just have learned of Barry's passing. I worked for him at Brooklyn Supply Center and subsequently took his job when he transitioned to another position. Like him, I also had been in the Army before finding a career in the Coast Guard. He was a great guy and a good boss and friend.
