Barbara Nannine Stephens SUMMERVILLE - Barbara Nannine (Lilly) Stephens, 88, of Summerville, widow of Frederick S. Stephens, died on Wednesday, March 16, 2011, at The Village at Summerville Presbyterian Home. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 3, 2011, at 3 o'clock p.m., at The Village at Summerville Presbyterian Home Chapel, 201 W. 9th N. Street, Summerville, SC. Burial will be held at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus, NJ at a later date. Barbara was born on September 28, 1922, in Ridgewood, NJ, daughter of the late George B. Lilly and Marjorie Nannine (Decker) Lilly. She graduated from Ridgewood High School in Ridgewood, NJ, attended Oberlin Conservatory of Music and graduated from Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School. She worked for 45 years as an executive secretary. She was a member of Seven Oaks Presbyterian in Columbia, SC. Surviving are two daughters, Marjorie S. Clark (Donald) of Mt. Pleasant, SC, and Linda S. Bailey (Denny) of Blackville, SC; one step-daughter, Gail Kathleen Taylor of Jeffersontown, KY; one step-son, Don Stephens of Borden, IN; six grandchildren, Jessica Marie Bailey, J.D. Bailey, Hoyt Allen Bailey, all of Blackville, SC, Ashton Bailey of Gaston, SC, Deborah Lyn Clark and Melanie Ann Clark of Mt. Pleasant, SC; one brother, Curtis B. Lilly (Jeanne) of Durham, NC; cousins, John Henry Randall of Sanbornville, NH, Richard Randall, NY, and Judith Battista (Frank) of The Villages, FL; nieces, Katherine Wellemeyer (Douglas) of Durham, NC, Laura Lilly (Mark Gray) of Port Angeles, WA, and Patricia Lilly (David Butler) of Seattle, WA. Barbara enjoyed and appreciated the variety of interests of her many friends and family. In keeping with that spirit, the family requests memorials be made to the charity of ones choice.
