Barbara Craven Pittillo CHARLESTON - Barbara Craven Pittillo, of Charleston, SC, entered into eternal rest Thursday February 16, 2017. Her memorial service will be held Monday February 20, 2017 at the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer at 2 pm. Barbara was born May 7, 1933 in Kinards, SC, daughter of James Gary Craven and Laura Salter Craven. She retired from the College of Charleston. She worked as a volunteer Guardian ad Litem and for The Marine Resource Center. She is survived by two daughters, Stephanie P Nelson (Stephen) of Charleston, Donna P Woodall (Kenneth) of Columbia; and a sister, Frances E. Craven of Charleston; five grandchildren, Craig Nelson, Natalie Nelson, Ryan Woodall, Jesse Nelson and Laura-Caroline Woodall; seven great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Nathan, Cole, Madeline, Hunter, Cameron and Lucas Nelson. She is predeceased by two brothers James (Gus) Craven and Douglas Craven. Barbara will be remembered as a devoted sister, mother, grandmother and aunt. Arrangements by Simplicity Lowcountry.
