Barbara Ulsh Perry Charleston - Barbara Louise Ulsh Perry, 87, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Ralph Eaden Perry, died on Monday, May 2, 2022 at Roper Hospital. Her Funeral Service will be held Monday, May 9, 2022 in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway at 11:00 a.m. Interment, Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday in the West Ashley Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Barbara was born December 6, 1934 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, daughter of the late William Howard Ulsh and Addie Garner Ulsh. She attended schools in North Charleston and West Ashley. After her first marriage to Robert C. Kohler, Sr., she bought two laundromats which she ran successfully for many years. Barbara took joy in serving and caring for others, and this took on many forms over the years. She was known for her generosity and small acts of kindness. Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Eden Perry; a son, Robert Carl Kohler, Jr.; a brother, William Howard Ulsh, Jr.; and a sister, Rosa Marie Ulsh Good. She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Kohler Brown (Jim) of Johns Island, SC; her son, Albert Howard Kohler (Carol) of Mount Pleasant, SC; 9 granddaughters; 1 grandson; 21 great-grandchildren and her brother, Neil Ulsh of Scottsville, KY.
