Barbara Locklear Obituary

Barbara G. Locklear BELVEDERE, SC - Mrs. Barbara G. Locklear, 70, of Rosemary Street, Belvedere, SC peacefully passed away May 3, 2009, after a long battle with cancer surrounded by her family. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock from the Belvedere Church of God. Rev. Denny Haston and Rev. Terry Taylor officiating. Interment will be in the Richburg Cemetery, Greeleyville, SC at 4 o'clock. Mrs. Locklear was a native of Lake City, SC, having made the Belvedere-North Augusta area her home for the past 43 years. She was the daughter of the late Ernest and Sinclair Graham. Mrs. Locklear moved to Charleston, SC in 1950 where she graduated from Murray Vocational School and later met the love of her life and began her family. In 1966 she and her family moved to North Augusta, SC. She was an incredible wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all. Her faith in God, positive attitude and sweet spirit carried her through life, especially during her time of illness. Mrs. Locklear loved her family and enjoyed the challenge of raising her three daughters. Her favorite past-time was spending time with all of her grandchildren, who affectionately called her "Uma." Mrs. Locklear was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Elbert Locklear; a grandson, Nicholas Anthony Moore; a great-grandson, Robert Alan Moore and two brothers-in-law, Alton Inabnett and Jimmy Brownlee. Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Lynn and Scott Lambert, Brenda and Kenny Long and Kelli and Craig Pulley, all of the Belvedere-North Augusta Area; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Sivel Inabnett, Frances Brownlee, Betty and Donald Morillo and Teresa and Bob Leap, all of Charleston; nine grandchildren, Barbara Kristen Mosley, Brittany Kay Moore, Benjamin Elbert Mosley, Scott Alan Lambert II, Archie W. "Trey" Lambert III, James Craig Pulley II, David Shane Pulley, Amanda Paige Pulley and William Marshall Long; one great-grandson, Nicholas Anthony Moore, II; she is also survived by her brother-in-law and sisters-in-law Fred and Frances Locklear, Simpsonville, SC, Anna Bell Tisdale and Ruth Avant, both of Kingstree, SC along with all of her very special nieces and nephews Honorary Pallbearers will be Donald O. Morillo, Sr. Robert W. Leap, Sr., Jimmy W. Cox and Fred C. Locklear. Active Pallbearers will be Alton C. Inabnett III, James L. Inabnett, Bruce G. Inabnett, Joseph E. Griffin, Darryl R. Griffin, H. Eugene Griffin, II, Donald O. Morillo, Jr., Gregory G. Morillo and Robert W. Leap, Jr. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6 until 8.
