Barbara was born October 7, 1931, in Woodstock, New Brunswick, Canada, a daughter of the late Marion Saulis and John Leo Paul. While working as a waitress in her late teens in the state of Maine, she met her future husband James Westbury Linder, Jr. It was through his service in the Air Force that they eventually relocated to Charleston, SC. Mrs. Linder was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed time with her family, travel and camping trips, and her love of dancing. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Barbara is survived by 8 of her 10 children: Daniel Linder, Deborah 'Margie' Weaver, John Linder (Dennesa), James Linder, Mark Linder (Lisa), Kenneth Linder (Patricia), Marvin Linder (Lucille), Patricia Gibson (James); 31 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren; her brother Wayne Paul; and her Stepdaughter, Rhonda Dudley-Solvey. She was preceded in death by her parents: 2 Children, Larry Linder and Millicent Anne Earnhart; 4 Brothers: Joseph, Walter, Winston, Randy; 5 Sisters: Grace, Geneva, Theresa, Marie, Elieen; and her 2 step-children, J.C. and Terri. It has been a long time since I saw aunt Barbara. But I loved her and she is a part of my childhood memories. I feel like she is the last of the the linder generation other then mom who has dementia ,and it makes me sad that all those memories leave with her. I am there in spirit with you and wish I could be there . I remember her beautiful long black hair and a smile that could melt your heart. That is the aunt Barbara I see when I close my eyes! All my love cousin Steve Ferguson

Barbara was my aunt and Ive known her my whole life. She was in my life constantly until I moved with my parents at 12. Since then our visits were less frequent, but she and her children are still my favorite relatives. She was a special lady, very caring of others and always fun loving and feisty!! My heart goes out to her children as I know how much they loved her So did I, and I will miss seeing her sweet face when I visit Charleston in the future.
