Barbara Johnson Obituary

Barbara Lee Johnson, 73, of Bonneau Beach, SC, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday afternoon, October 3, 2025. A beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and partner, Barbara's life was marked by quiet strength, deep love for her family, and a generous spirit that touched all who knew her. Born to Elizabeth Anne McCarty and Albert G. Biegler, Barbara was raised with enduring values of resilience and compassion. She was preceded in death by her mother, stepfather Larry McCarty, and father. Her memory will be cherished by her loving boyfriend, Richard Bentley; her stepmother, Rosemary Biegler; her children, Melissa Johnson, Stacey Brown (Drew), and Joshua Johnson; and her sister, Kelly Wright. Barbara was a proud grandmother to Haleigh Maynard, Lucas Gonzalez, Piper Johnson, Marlee Wells, Aryana Tatum, Sophya Brown, D'Andrew Brown Jr., Kehlani Brown, and Jaxon Brown. She also leaves behind her nieces, Courtney and Lindsey Wright and Ashley Blackburn, each of whom held a special place in her heart. A visitation honoring Barbara's life will be held on Thursday, October 16, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM in the Chapel of Dial-Murray Funeral Home. Barbara's legacy lives on in the laughter of her grandchildren, the strength of her children, and the love she gave so freely. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
