The love and appreciation I feel for my time in Charleston is sometimes difficult to convey. Often, the absence of loved ones is when we discover the profound imprint made upon our soul. The beauty of Reverend Dr. Barbara Heyward's friendship was being a witness to those times she fully embraced others with her grace, compassion, kindness, love, and hope.

Rest in love, Reverend Barbara. I love you and will keep you in my heart, always.
