Barbara Annette Parnell Coskrey MT. PLEASANT - Barbara Annette Parnell Coskrey, 83, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Thursday, August 28, 2025. The family will receive friends for a visitation, Friday, September 12 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Rd. Burial will be private. Barbara was born July 27, 1942, in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late Carl Parnell and the late Dorothy Duc Parnell. She was a graduate of Bishop England Highschool. Barbara held many positions during her life, including Flight Attendant, Office Manager, and Book Keeper. During her retirement, she enjoyed doing volunteer work, as she loved to help others. She was a kind and giving person who was known for her sense of humor and loquaciousness. She is survived by her son, Robert Michael (Rhonda) of Mount Pleasant, SC and their two sons, Shane and Zachary Zitnick, her sister, Janice (Phil) Tompkins, her brother, Billy (Sandy) Parnell, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, William Robert "Bob" Coskrey, Jr. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or the Shriners Hospitals for Children, Attn: Office of Development, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.
