Barbara Belknap Obituary

Barbara Louise (Silver) Belknap FLETCHER, NC - Barbara Louise (Silver) Belknap was born on July 14, 1916 and died on December 31, 2012 at the age of 96. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul, her parents Foster and Alice (Warner) Silver, and her sister Margaret. Family survivors include her sons Jeff and Gregg, grandchildren Patrick, Jenny, and Mark, great-grandchildren Ryan, Miles, and Abby, and devoted cousins Tom and Dick Silver. Other survivors include those still alive from a host of friends, including Larry Rubin, James and Margaret Wayre, and other dear friends from Charleston, SC, Asheville, NC, Ohio, across the United States, and abroad. Her life was one of depth, breadth, and longevity, characterized by love of people and love of intellect. She is missed and fondly remembered. Services are private. Barbara was such a wonderful friend. We laughed until the tears ran down our face many times. I am so happy to see she lived a long life. She will be missed. I adored her. A one of a kind lady for sure.
