Barbara Ann Moore
Mt. Pleasant - Barbara Ann Moore joined her husband Jack in their heavenly home on March 14, 2026.
Born in Lynchburg, Virginia, Barbara, a retired schoolteacher, led a life serving and supporting children in multiple schools in the United States as well as internationally when she joined her husband during his overseas military postings. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend she was an active member of her community until her health began to decline. Barbara enjoyed her bible study, supporting youth causes and spending time with family and friends.
Barbara is survived by her daughter Jacqueline (Michael), son John (Kirsten), two adored grandsons Alexandre and Zachary, her brother Tommy (Joyce), her cousin Nancy, and several other cousins, nieces and a nephew. She was preceded in her passing by her husband Jack, her father and mother Calvin and Ruth Harris, and brother Richard.
Her ashes will be interred alongside her husband Jack at the Beaufort National Cemetery on March 25, 2026, at 1:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be sent to the Palmetto Scholars Academy located at 7499 Dorchester Road, North Charleston, SC 29418 (https://www.psaschool.org).
